With summer finally here and Christmas just around the corner, there’s no better time to check out one of the many car events on in Brisbane this November.
An auto show, motor show or car show, is a public exhibition of either current automobile models, debuts, concept cars, or out-of-production classics. While many are open to anyone in the community, they are often attended by automotive industry representatives, dealers, auto journalists and car enthusiasts. While some car shows happen once a year, others happen once a week. Larger scale events can also be incorporated into automotive festivals, which usually also include racing, food stalls and event markets.
On the other hand, there are also plenty of car events that happen on a weekly, fortnightly or monthly basis right across Brisbane. The general idea is for a community of car lovers to come together for a day, and share their insights, knowledge and passion about all things engine related. While some are exclusive to clubs, others very much welcome members of the general public as a means to generate further interest in the hobby and pass on the knowledge to the next generation.
Five Car Events On In Brisbane This November
Hugging the Brisbane River, the appeal of the city of Brisbane stretches far beyond the central business district. Each suburb of Brisbane doubles as an urban village, with the likes of bohemian West End, leafy New Farm or the ultra hip hilltop borough of Paddington all attracting both new residents and tourists alike.
For auto enthusiasts, you may not find much action in the inner city suburbs, but further afield lies a medley of car events on in Brisbane that match – or indeed, top – similar offerings found in Sydney or Melbourne. Brisbane’s local car community is a passionate one, and are known for their friendly and welcoming reputation, particularly to newcomers at one of the many car shows and events that happen every weekend right around the city.

The very best part about many of the Brisbane car shows and events is that the hosts welcome the general public, as opposed to making them exclusive for club members only. The idea is that car enthusiasts generally want to share their passion, especially when it comes to sparking an interest in vintage cars for the next generation.
